Job Title: Director of Public and Consumer Affairs
Duties and Responsibilities:
Exhibits leadership ability as a senior manager with responsibility for efficient and effective use of resources;
Serves as a subject matter expert as it relates to cultivating Public/Consumer relations;
Serves as proxy for the unit in the respective unit and supports the commissioner in facilitating the day to day activities of the unit;
Provides daily or frequent reports to the Commissioner responsible for Consumer, Public Affairs & Legal Affairs;
Performs daily reviews/audits of units’ productivity and makes operational improvements as necessary;
Coordinates activities with other units to expedite work flow and improve performance;
Makes Periodic reports and conducts special projects as assigned through the Commissioner of Consumer, Public Affairs & Legal Affairs to the BOC, as needed or as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Masters degree in communications, Political Science, Public Administration or comparable discipline plus seven (7) years of experience at a supervisory level;
Knowledge of Telecommunications industry may be an added advantage;
Knowledge of the media and public relations environment in Liberia;
Website development knowledge would be advantageous.

Ability to foster a cooperative work environment and working collaboratively to effectively resolve problems in a diverse setting;
Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills;
Ability to solve problems and render advice using established policies and procedures;
Highly skilled in the use of personal computers and related software applications, working knowledge of MS Word, Access, and Power Point.

The position is open to suitably qualified Liberians with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
